Shopping in our (almost) local IKEA is a pain – it’s just too small to house all the stuff the want to sell. Despite this, we went a bought a bed for our guestroom. It was crowded and a Citröen C4 just isn’t build for bulky packages. Anyway we loaded the packages into the car, [...]

In case you’re wondering…
Jul 20
The blog isn’t dead or terminated. I’m just busy. At work we’re working on several interesting things, and on this site I’m slowly beginning to implement a long overdue redesign – since the server crash almost a year ago, things have been pretty messy under (and over) the hood of this site. It will – [...]
Simens Gigasets are amazing
Apr 29
Almost ten years ago I bought a Siemens Gigaset for my fixed phone at home. It consisted of a base station (“Gigaset 2060ISDN“) and two wireless handsets (“Gigaset 2000Comfort”). A year later I bought an extra handset. Now several years after – and several Gigaset-generations later – I bought two extra handsets (“Gigaset S44“). It’s [...]
Merry Christmas
Dec 24
It’s been a busy December and there hasn’t been much time for Christmas lights and other holiday celebrations on the site, but to everyone passing by we’re wishing you a Merry Christmas – and what a wonderful Christmas gift from the weather – all white outside and still snowing… to bad is seems to be [...]
Airplane experiences

Airliners seem to have a hard time remodelling their businesses. With the rise of budget airlines (EasyJet, RyanAir and others) some conventional carries has tried to change their business to secure their continued existence – some with more luck than others. My latest travel with Maersk Air was some disappointment.
Our Markup Wizard abandoned ship today. Too bad, but that’s life I guess. Good luck at the new place.
Hard times with EasyCar

Two months ago my parents booked and paid for a rental car in Portugal. When they arrived however – the staff at National/Alamo, which is the EasyCar agent in Portugal – told them, [...]
Today there was a small change in the local network at home. A laser printer was removed and the other laser printer changed to a network printer. It a small change in a little network, but a great convenience in the long run.
Italian car rental
Sep 2
During our vacation at Sicily we had a rental car the first week which was part of the package bought from home. Since our most recent experience was, that you should get plenty of engine power, we went with a fair sized car (and engine) – or so we thought anyway.
MAME hardware
Feb 27
MAME seems to have revived the childhood of computing and brought back the memories of fried food, beeping sounds and coins disappearing in an endless flow in to the cabinet of the local arcade machines. Playing MAME today doesn’t absolutely require an arcade machine (hooked up to a pc), but it does feel quite the [...]
