Grado, Trieste and Venice

It’s always fun visiting Italy. Besides their wonderful food, there’s also losts of sights to explore no matter where in Italy you visit. In June 2008 we went to North-east Italy and stayed in the town of Grado. It’s between Trieste (near the Albanian border) and Venice.

Lisbon

Lisbon is the capital for Portugal, and an often overlooked destination for City vacations it seems. We rented an apartment for a week in the old part of town and went exploring. Berlin and Potsdam, Germany

After the reunitfication of Germany, Berlin has seen a rapid development, and spending short vacations in Berlin is a popular choice for Danes. We flew with Air Berlin and booked a hotel in Potsdam a short distance outside the Berlin City Centre.

Amsterdam

Flying in Europe between the capitals can be reasonable cheap, and flying Snowflake with SAS made it possible to visit Amsterdam in the Netherlands. Getting around the city by boat, trams and by feet was quite easy and while the weather wasn’t the best, it was an interesting visit.

Iceland

Heading home from a visit to the USA, we flew with Iceland Air and had the pleasure of making a few days stop-over on Iceland and see some of the sights.
