I’ve been using Movable Type for the past few years, but been looking for something else. Since I’m not ready to switch to anything else, I figured I might as well keep up with the current version – which was increase from 3.2 to 3.3(1) past week. This upgrade did remind me why I am using MT and why I haven’t found something else.
Movable Type is just rock solid. The upgrade from 2.x to 3.x was painful and as much fun as surgery without any painkillers, but besides that, it really does what it should and in a way where you can sort of figure what’s going on.
I usually forget to switch the perl-path from the default, to the one I use, but since that fairly unusual, I shouldn’t hold that against movable type as such. This time I didn’t forget, and the upgrade went so smoooth. It really is nice, when a system just works and Movable Type usually do.
