I’ve been spending much more time killing spam comments, than adding and maintaining contents on the site. From an occasional spam comment from time to time, the past feed weeks has bothered me with between 50 and 100 daily spam comments. None of them was ever public, but did take time to erase from the databases. Hopefully that will change. As of today all comments must pass the CAPTCHA gate or face instant deletion.

I’m using the SCode plugin for Movable Type, and while I don’t like the mandatory posting of name and email address to the plugin developer (and implicit mailing list signup), I do certainly hope it’s works well.
